(b.1983, Toronto) Matthew Mancini is a realist painter residing in Toronto, ON. He received a BA in Visual and Critical Studies from the Ontario College of Art & Design University and an MA in Art History from the University of Toronto. His formal artistic training is rooted in 19th century oil painting and drawing techniques. He currently maintains a studio practice that explores contemporary approaches to portraiture and the figure, and is faculty at both Sheridan College in Oakville, ON and Humber College in Toronto, ON.
